My History With Voice

The beginning of my journey through the professional world of music began in high school when I joined my school's choir. In my choir class, I learned the joy it is to sing for an audience. The captivating feeling of sound resonating through my body and harmonizing through the rest of the choir was magic to me and I knew then that music was what I wanted to do with my life.

In choir, I got my first taste of success as a musician. We won competitions, were bussed in to sing in many different places, and eventually we were flown to Carnegie Hall in New York to be part of a nationwide youth choir, a moment I'll never forget. I even won a chamber singer's award for being one of the most distinguished vocalists in my school district.

As that chapter came to a close, I continued to sing for many different groups and projects of a large variety of styles. My voice skillset increased with every new style and project I became a part of. I would frequently audition for bands and be chosen to take center stage as a lead vocalist.

With my classical training, my talent for mimicry, commitment to authenticity, and my love of the spotlight, I soon found myself as the voice for rock, metal, hip hop, electronic, and many other projects that caught my interest.

To this day, I continue my career as a singer and vocalist over a variety of different projects over many different styles. Due to the intricacy of the discipline and the endless possibilities of what we can do with our voices, it is still one of my absolute favorite subjects to teach.

What You Will Learn

While studying the discipline of voice from me, you will learn not only the technical skills required to be a great vocalist such as how to command rhythm, pitch sensitivity, and melody but, I will also teach you how to get in touch with who you are as a vocalist.

No two voices on this entire green earth are the same so, one of my biggest goals is to find what drives you to want to sing and teach you how to channel that into a wealth of confidence in what you do and authenticity in who you are.

No matter what style you're trying to sing, no matter what setting you choose to use your voice in, these lessons have something valuable to offer you. I will teach you how to emulate the feeling you or another artist are trying to get across in order to deliver effectively time and time again in a way that feels nourishing to the soul and provides the student and the listener with an unparalleled sense of fulfillment.

If you have been trying to learn how to sing and have perhaps subscribed to the myth that you're "tone-deaf" or you feel like you've hit a glass ceiling in your studies to be a better singer, you have come to the right place!

While I can't teach you how to be an exact copy of Whitney Houston, Robert Plant, Will Ramos or any other famous vocalist that comes to mind, I can and I will teach you how to be the best version of yourself on the mic.
