Production, Mixing, And Mastering (Logic Pro X And Garageband)

My History With Production

I first began my journey with production by learning how to record using Garageband and a small Tascam audio interface from the local music store in 2009. I would plug in my guitar and spend hours fiddling around with an SM-57 microphone to find the sweet spot of my amp cone.

As time went on my collection grew to include all the various necessities to capture and record anything I needed to. By the age of 20 I was recording DIY albums in my bedroom, my car, and my garage complete with acoustic drums, tube amplifiers, and various midi accompaniment.

In 2017, I began my official training for audio engineering at SAE Expressions Institute in Emeryville, California. At SAE I was instructed by a plethora of professors who all had experience working for leading bands, artists, and projects in the industry. I learned how to use an SSL console and how to effectively record, mix, and master with Garageband's more decked out sibling Logic Pro X.

While in college, I interned with some platinum selling artists at a local recording studio as an engineer at Soundwave Studios in Oakland. The more I worked as a sound engineer, the better and better my skills became at producing commercial quality music, music where every aspect was perfected to sound particularly amazing to any set of ears.

When I was finished with college I set up my own recording studio in my home where my production journey continued. To this day, I am still working and teaching out of this studio where my skills have grown sharper and sharper and the music I continue to produce continues to surprise me as all of my experience with sound design has accumulated.

What You Will Learn

With my courses in production/audio engineering, you will learn the ins and outs of everything you need to produce high quality, commercially viable music and audio through the means of Logic Pro X or, if you're just beginning your journey with production, how to work effectively in Garageband.

You will learn how to effectively record, mix, and use all the tools at your disposal to bring your sound to the next level. I will teach you how to become sensitive to frequency and how to capture and adjust any aspect of a performance so that everything you hear back comes out exactly the way you want it to.

You will learn how midi and synthesizers work so that you can create, replicate and manipulate any sound or instrument you can think of. You will learn how to sample effectively to be able to fit any piece of sound or music into a mix without incident.

You will also learn how to master music to perfect it and really give it that polished gleam it needs to come to life in any set of speakers you can think of and provide the listener with an unforgettable experience.

Whether you're learning how to produce audio for yourself, tv, film, radio, video games, social media or if you're just trying to make your sound coherent or competitive with all the other music that is out there, these courses are the right move for you. With the skills I will teach you, the audio you produce will be able to speak for itself, evoke powerful emotions, skyrocket you to success, and withstand the test of time.
