My Story

Hi, I'm Jade Ague and I've been teaching music since 2011. I have been fortunate to study music with the guidance of experts in each individual discipline that I teach. If you've been trying to learn how to play an instrument or produce quality music, whether this is the beginning of your musical journey or you're a seasoned expert, you've come to the right place!

In my pursuit of musical knowledge, I have studied music under educators from Oxford and Stanford Universities. I have gained invaluable experience studying under world class masters of their own craft. I have trained under heavyweight production managers and worked for world renowned, platinum selling bands that you've probably heard of or listened to.

I have worked at famous production studios such as Soundwave Studios in Oakland and performed on stages from Carnegie Hall in New York City to DNA Lounge in San Francisco.

I have released over 40 individual releases as an artist in various projects including metal, pop, hip hop, vaporwave, punk, dance, experimental, goth, noise, jazz, classical, rock, grindcore, choral and more.

On top of my love for performing, recording, and perfecting music, I have a strong passion for teaching it which is why today, after many years spent as a music educator, I am still helping people develop their love, nurture their enthusiasm, hone their skills, and reach their dreams in music and production.

How It Works

The first lesson is on the house!

If you are interested in attaining my services, all you need to do is send me an email with your name and what you're looking to study with me. Upon receiving your email, I will respond at my soonest convenience (usually within a day) so we can set up your first lesson.

The first lesson is always free to see if my services are the right match for your needs.

I teach all age groups and all levels of skill and my lessons are uniquely tailored to my students' specific learning styles. I guide my students step by step through the learning process and email relevant notes and resources after my lessons are done for the day.

I often take a mentorship role with my students meaning that any questions I know how to answer, whether it pertains to the chosen discipline or another, I will answer. It is my job to make sure that the student has the knowledge to excel in anything they are trying to accomplish. If I don't know the answer to a question, I will research the topic on my own and answer it during the next session.

If a student wishes to study another discipline that I teach, they are free to let me know at anytime and we can switch subjects as soon as necessary.

I also offer after hours services to all paying students for additional help or questions one might have about anything we've covered together in a previous lesson.

In the last couple minutes of our session, I schedule the next lesson with the student. All of my lessons are scheduled through Google Meet and the student will receive an email confirming the time and date of the next session. In the email, there will also be an enclosed link to the upcoming Google Meet session. All you need to do is click it to join!

I accept all payments through Paypal, Venmo, or Cashapp. I charge a flat rate of $70/hour in installments of 4 lessons at a time ($280 for 4 lessons).

Policy

If a student is late to a session, I can only teach until the scheduled time when the session is due to end.

If a lesson needs to be canceled or rescheduled due to a non emergency, the student has 2 calendar days to notify me of the changes otherwise it is my policy to keep the payment for that specific lesson.

If an emergency arises and a student needs to cancel or reschedule no existing credit will be used for that lesson time.
